The County Board of Sangamon County, Illinois approved a contract with Jano Technologies Inc. during its recent meeting.
A presentation took place relating to the contract with the tech company and the Circuit Clerk’s office. Jano has developed a system that allows law enforcement officers to be able to issue electronic citations by utilizing the barcode found on driver’s licenses. He also states that a pilot program is in effect in certain towns within the county.
It was decided to consolidate this resolution with a related contract with Saltus Technologies and the Circuit Clerk’s Office. Both contracts were approved with a unanimous vote.
The board also reviewed the meeting notes from its previous meeting. These were also approved by a unanimous vote. The board also finalized 10 appointments within various committees and boards associated with the county with term expirations ranging between September 2016 and February 2021.
The new board is scheduled to take place on March 8.
