The Sherman, Illinois Public Library Board of Trustees will be holding a special meeting tomorrow, March 9, to discuss matters of employment and other items.

The meeting is scheduled to take place at 5 p.m. at the Sherman Public Library Meeting Room. The library is located at 2100 East Andrew Rd. in Sherman.

Regarding personnel matters, the library is looking to hire a new library director. The agenda from the meeting that took place on Feb. 24 indicates that interviews were being scheduled for the director position.

This meeting will consist of the evaluation of the interviews that had taken place since that previous meeting. During this meeting the board will aim to determine which candidates would be the best to take on the position.

During tomorrow’s meeting salary and other matters of compensation also will be discussed.

Other matters that will be discussed include library policies on circulation and personnel. The meeting agenda also states that a contract regarding copiers will also be considered by the library board during this meeting.

The next regular meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 16.
