The Building Committee of the Illinois Prairie Skies Public Library District (PSPLD) discussed monthly reports and other items that included a wish list for the facility during its recent meeting.
Among the reports were the daily operations of the library and the most recent financial report. These were presented for information and managerial purposes. The board also reviewed and voted on the previous meeting’s minutes. The building committee also presented its report.
During this meeting, the board continued its review of a facility wish list presented during it Feb. 9 meeting.
The PSPLD board meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m.; each meeting is either held at the Pleasant Plains or Ashland branch locations. The board is tasked with the oversight and establishment of the PSPLD’s budget and policies. The board consists of seven trustees that are elected to four-year terms. The board is also tasked with the selection of the director of the library.
The next PSPLD meeting is scheduled to take place on April 12 at the Ashland branch of the library.
