The Pleasant Plains Community Unit School District (CUSD) No. 8 Board will hold a special meeting that will revolve around an executive session to discuss the hiring of a high school varsity basketball coach/teacher 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Middle School Commons, 2455 N. Farmingdale Road.
State law allows for closed government-entity meetings when the subject matter involves sensitive topics, such as personnel issues, litigation, land acquisitions or student discipline.
After the executive session, the board will vote publicly on any motions put forward during the session, but there is no indication whether public comments will be allowed.
