ZONING BOARD IN ATTENDANCE Mr. Randy Burge, Ms. Abby Bybee, Mr. Kurt Ratcliff and Ms. Jane VanHoos.
ZONING BOARD ABSENT Mr. Erich Bloxdorf, Mr. Dave Rush and Mr. Keith Bull.
OFFICIALS IN ATTENDANCE Mr. John Swinford, Village Administrator & Acting Village Clerk, Attorney Greg Moredock and Mr. Kevin Kuhn, Village Engineer.
PUBLIC IN ATTENDANCE Mr. Stephen Calvert, Mrs. Theresa Calvert and Mr. Ric Baldain.
OPENING
1. Call to Order - Ms. VanHoos made a motion for Mr. Burge to Chair the meeting,
seconded by Mr. Ratclif, All in Favor, Motion Passes. 2. Roll Call – roll call of members’ present was made with 4 present and 3 absent, quorum
established. 3. Pledge of Allegiance – Ms. VanHoos led in the Pledge of Allegiance. 4. Approval of Minutes – Minutes from previous meetings of Zoning Board of Appeals
were presented for approval – Motion to Approve prior minutes made by Ms. VanHoos, seconded by Ms. Bybee, All in Favor, Motion Passes.
ACTION Motion was made by Mr. Ratcliff to open the public hearing, seconded by Ms. VanHoos, All in Favor, Motion Passed. Hearing was conducted on the submission made by Stephen and Theresa Calvert to consider a petition for a rear yard setback variance for the address at 53 Woods Mill Road, in Sherman, IL 62684, further defined as Parcel ID # 07-30.0-377-019, Lot 28 Birch Lake Estates (Final Plat listed under Fancy Creek Estates (Woods Mill Rd.). This notice was posted in The State Journal Register on September 19, 2016 in compliance with the Sherman Village Code.
Attorney Moredock swore in the following persons prior to any testimony:
• Mr. Calvert, Petitioner
• Richard Bzldoni, Pool Contractor
• Kevin Kuhn, Village Engineer
Mr. Moredock questioned Engineer Kuhn on the 7 specifics foundation 9-5-11B.Motion was made by Ms. VanHoos to approve the Petition, seconded by Ms. Bybee, All in Favor, Motion Passed.
Motion was made by Mr. Burge to Close the Public Hearing, seconded by Ms. VanHoos, All in Favor, Motion Passed.
PUBLIC COMMENT/QUESTIONS No persons of the public indicated a wish to make Public Comment.
ADJOURNMENT Motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Burge, seconded by Ms. VanHoos. Voice vote with Ayes only. Motion Passed. Meeting adjourned.
