Sangamon County Election Oversight Committee met June 13.
Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:
Present: Sam Snell – Chairman, Tom Madonia - Vice Chairman, Clyde Bunch, Abe Forsyth, Annette Fulgenzi, Brad Miller, Cathy Scaife, Catie Sheehan and Joel Tjelmeland.
Not Present: John O’Neil
Others: Don Gray, Stacey Kern, Todd Smith and Mary Ca Secretary)
Chairman Snell called the meeting to order at 4:30 pm. Madonia made the motion to approve the meeting minutes from the May 9th meeting and Bunch seconded the motion. Motion carried (8-0).
County Clerk Gray reported that they have mailed a little over 137,000 voter registration cards out. A little over a thousand have been returned. Two thousand are undeliverable. Gray says his office has taken heightened attention with voter fraud. They are verifying precinct committeeman's addresses. Any discrepancies have been forwarded to the party's headquarters. They will also receive letters of the discrepancies as well.
- Approval to hire Cameron Jones as temporary summer help @ an hourly rate of $10.00/ hour effective 6/17. Bunch made a motion to approve & Scaife seconded. Motion carried (9-0).
The requisitions were reviewed and signed. Forsyth motioned to approve the requisitions and Tjelmeland seconded. Motion carried (9-0).
There was no old business or public comment. Sheehan motioned to adjourn and Madonia seconded. Motion carried (9-0) and the meeting adjourned at 4:39 p.m.
