Sangamon County Zoning Board of Appeals met November 16.

Here is the agenda as provided by the board:

The Sangamon County Zoning Board of Appeals will meet on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the County Board Chamber of the County Building to hear the following petitions:

1. Approval of the minutes of the October 19, 2017 meeting.

2. 2017-052 Mary K. Ramsey

County Board Member: David Mendenhall, District #3 Address: 3200 Block of Young Road, Mechanicsburg, IL 62545 Tax ID # 24-17.0-200-040 (Pt) Township: Cooper Petitioner requests for Proposed Parcel 1: a rezoning from “A” Agricultural District to “R-1’ Single-Family Residence District.

3. 2017-053 David Downing

County Board Member: David Mendenhall, District #3 Address: 1500 Bolivia Road, Mechanicsburg, IL 62545 Tax ID # 25-05.0-300-001 Township: Lanesville Petitioner requests for Proposed Parcel 1: a variance to allow one (1) parcel less than forty (40) acres (approximately 20 acres).

4. 2017-054 Ronald & Catherine McAtee

County Board Member: Clyde Bunch, District # 21 Address: 2801 S. College Street, Springfield, IL 62704 Tax ID # 22-09.0-210-005 Township: Woodside Petitioners request a variance to allow two (2) principal uses on one (1) parcel: (a) single-family residence and (b) “B-3 business; a variance to allow a singlefamily residence in the “B-3” General Business District; a variance to allow the side yard setback to be zero (0) feet instead of the required seven and one-half (7 %) feet on a corner lot; a variance to allow the front yard setback to be ten (10) feet instead of the required fifteen (15) feet; and, a variance to allow the rear yard setback to be zero (0) feet instead of the required twenty (20) feet.

County Board Member: Craig Hall, District #7 Address: 12750 Edgewater Way, New Berlin, IL 62670 Tax ID # 20-04.0-100-039 Township: Island Grove Petitioner requests a variance to allow the side yard setback to be approximately seven (7) feet instead of the required ten (10) feet.

6. 2017-056 Chase Schultz

County Board Member: Cathy Scaife, District #29 Address: 3245 Mathers Road, Springfield, IL 62707 Tax ID # 21-13.0-400-039 Township: Curran Petitioner requests a Conditional Permitted Use for an auto body repair shop with spray painting.
