City of Atlanta City Council met November 21.

Here is the minutes provided by the Council:

Open: The regular meeting of the Atlanta City Council was held on Tuesday November 21, 2017 at the Atlanta City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fred Finchum at 7:30 pm.

Roll Call: Mayor Finchum, Amber Finchum. Billie Cheek, Keith Eimer, Adam McVey, Tommy Young and Andrea Halley were present.

Motion by Cheek second by McVey to approve the minutes as presented.

Eimer-yes Cheek-yes

Young-yes McVey-yes

Motion Carries.

Motion by Finchum second by Eimer to pay all bills as approved by their chairman.

Motion Carries.

Ryan Fiscus asked if there is a database regarding Public employees on our Website and who to submit a FOIA request to.

Paul Goodwin states drilling company brought in some equipment to begin work on Well#10.

Christmas decorations went up without problems.

Chief Eimer brought some information regarding purchasing Taser Guns for the Police Dept. He explained the need for them and how the gun works.

Mayor Finchum brought up the Tax Levy Ordinance.

Motion by Cheek second by Young to review the Ordinance until the next meeting.

Motion Carries.

Bob Kolhase from Farnsworth was here to discuss Well #10 Division B and to make the recommendation to accept the lowest bidder. The lowest bid was from Laverdiere Construction Inc. at $691,223.00

Motion by McVey second by Cheek to accept the bid from Laverdiere Construction Inc. in the amount of $691,223.00 and hire them to construct the water line for Well #10.

Motion Carries.

The Council discussed which pipe to use C900 or SDR 21 for the water main line.

Motion by Young second by Halley to use C900 for the water main line.

Motion Carries.

Mayor Finchum brought up Electronic attendance to meetings. He asked the council to review for the next meeting.

Motion by Cheek second by McVey to table this electronic attendance to the next meeting.

Young-yes McVey-yes

Motion Carries.

Alderwoman Finchum asked if Alderman Young was representing Atlanta or the Council when he spoke to the local newspaper.

Alderman Eimer states the churches have raised enough food to feed 33 families.

Alderwoman Halley brought up doing something for Christmas. Discussion was had of what to do for the holiday.

Alderwoman Finchum asked if there will be a Christmas party this year.

Mayor Finchum explained it would be considered an illegal meeting.

Motion by Finchum second by Halley to close the meeting.

The meeting adjourned at 8:30 pm
