Sangamon County Election Oversight Committee met February 13.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

Chairman Snell called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. Madonia made a motion to approve the meeting minutes from the January 9th meeting and Sheehan seconded. Motion carried (7-0).

Don reported that the early voting has been open for 4 days and they've already doubled the votes since the March 2016 primary. We had 23 voters on February 12th (holiday) Gray says he only expected to have about 6 so he thought that was great! They are doing a lot of marketing on social media to get the word out about early voting! As of today, we have had 163 voters and 485 requests for vote by mail ballots. The Recorder's office & Supervisor of Assessment's office are going to share employees with Gray's office when they get busier. Traditional ways of registering to vote will close in a week but you can still register at a polling place and vote the same day. The state gave Gray's office 5000 interstate registrations to handle before the election and 2834 were rejected. We have confirmed 520 out of 540 elections judges. We have confirmed 80/ 111 registrars. Election Judge training will be March 7th & 8th.

The requisitions were reviewed and signed. O' Neil Motioned to approve the requisitions and Tjelmeland seconded. Motion carried (8-0).

There was no old business or public comment.

Sheehan motion to adjourn and Fulgenzi seconded. Motion carried (8-0) and the meeting adjourned at 4:39 p.m.
