Analysis: Chatham pays $1.89 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Chatham Fpd Firefighter's Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 65.5 percent of the $262,689 the Chatham Fpd Firefighter's Pension Fund brought in last year, or $1.89 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Chatham contributed $172,000 to the fund, which saw a $38,892 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $90,689, or 34.5 percent, in 2016.
