Rep. Tim Butler (R-Springfield) passed yet another resolution for a winning team in his district Tuesday.
Introduced at the House floor debate, HR956 congratulates the Hartsburg-Emden seventh- and eighth-grade girls volleyball team on winning the IESA Class 7-1A and 8-1A State Championships.
“I am proud to offer HR956 today and once again welcome back the Hartsburg-Emden Lady Stags,” Butler, who is often handing off winning athletic related accolades, said.

To say that the team is a dynasty is a complete understatement, according to Butler.
“In 25 years of Coach (Jennifer) Hayes coaching the Lady Stags she has won 28 titles in junior high and one state title in high school,” Butler said.
He cited the team’s stats before asking for a warm Springfield welcome to the team in the upper gallery.
