Emden Fire Protection District responded to eight calls in 2017 - same as the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Emden included six fires - four structure fires and two other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

The department also received one false call.
