Williams Township Board of Trustees met April 10.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The regular meeting of Williams Township Board of Trustees was called to order by Supervisor Miller at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 10, 2018. The meeting was held at the Township office.

Those present were: Supervisor Lee Miller, Road Commissioner Rich Bond, Trustees: Alan Justice, David May, Jan Halford, and John Sweeney, Clerk Marla Smith, Office Manager Debra Booker.

Guest present – Marla Justice

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Trustee John Sweeney.

Trustee Justice moved to approve the minutes of the March 13, 2018, board meeting. Second by Trustee Halford. Motion carried.

Trustee Sweeney moved to approve the monthly bills. Second by Trustee May. Motion carried.

Trustee Halford moved to approve payroll for the month of March. Second by Trustee Justice. Motion carried.

Supervisor Miller stated that he would like to recommend that a donation be made to WCUSD #15 of $5,000 and that the funds are designated for schools within Williams Township & for Public Safety. In addition, he recommended to designate $10,000 to Road & Bridge for a storage shed to help house equipment. Trustee Justice moved to approve both items. Second by Trustee Justice. Motion carried. A public event, Meet the Assessor, Jason LeMar will be held at the Community Center on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 9-11.

Road Commissioner Bond reported that he’s been looking into storage building & fencing costs. He has been reviewing budget items. He purchased a Laser Level system. Oil bids have been received.

Clerk Smith reminded everyone that Economic Interest statements are due by May 1, 2018.

Trustee Halford moved to tentatively approve the budgets. Second by Trustee Sweeney. Motion carried. Trustee May moved to hold the hearing on budgets at the May 8, 2018 meeting & budgets to be approved at the June Meeting. Second by Trustee Justice. Motion carried.

The meeting was adjourned following a motion by Trustee May and a second by Trustee Sweeney.
