Report: Hampton spent $9,893 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Hampton School District 29 is up 24.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Rock Island County school district spent $7,962 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,893 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 224 to 240.

Hampton's spending in 2017-18 was 25.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
