Report: Henry Senachwine spent $12,525 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Henry Senachwine Community Unit School District 5 is up 7.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Marshall County school district spent $11,672 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,525 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 629 to 567.

Henry Senachwine's spending in 2017-18 was 6.1 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
