Analysis: Farmington Central administrators rank 768th in state for average pay

Administrators in Farmington Central Community Unit School District 265 earn an average of $78,900 per year, ranking 768th out of 864 districts in the state, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 3.4% higher than in 2014 and 2.6% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 26.5% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Peoria County school district enrolled 1380 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 173 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
