BALL-CHATHAM COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT 5: Tentative Agreement Reached

Ball-Chatham Community Unit School District 5 issued the following announcement on Feb. 27.

The Ball-Chatham School District’s Board of Education, and the Ball-Chatham Education Association (BCEA) are pleased to announce that on February 25, a tentative agreement was reached on the new three-year collective bargaining agreement. Details of the contract will not be released until the Board of Education approves the agreement at their March 21 meeting. Supt. Dr. Wood, Board President Steve Copp, and BCEA President Kari Kath released the following joint statement: A compromise was reached due to the commitment on all sides to do what’s best for our students. We would like also to thank our parents and the community for their patience. We understand and appreciate the stressors that accompany the negotiation process because it affects all of us within our school community.
