City of Quincy Transit Authority will meet on Wednesday, April 3.

Here is the agenda provided by the authority:

For the purpose of considering a project for which financial assistance is being sought from the Illinois Department of Transportation, for State of Illinois public transportation operating assistance grants from the FY2020 Section 5311 and Downstate Operating Assistance Programs, pursuant to the Illinois Department of Transportation's general authority to make such grants and which is generally described as follows:

Description of Project: Provision of public transportation services to the general public, including elderly and individuals with disabilities in Quincy/Adams County service area. All transportation equipment used for this project will meet ADA accessibility rules for elderly and persons with disabilities. No persons will be relocated as a result of such grant applications. Relocation assistance will not be required. This project is being implemented to minimize environmental impacts.

At the hearing, QTL will afford an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the social economic and environmental aspects of the project. Interested persons may submit orally or in writing evidence and recommendations with respect to said project.

The QTL requests that any hearing impaired person wishing to attend this Public Hearing notify the Quincy Transit Lines at 217-228-4550 at least one week before the schedule hearing date so that arrangements can be made to provide an interpreter.
