Q1 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Logan County?

There were 12 offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Logan County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Sangamon Sun.

The data shows that seven men and five women were released in Logan County. The median age of the parolees was 41. The youngest parolee was a 29-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017, and the oldest was a 59-year-old man sentenced in 2005.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Joseph P. Hickey. He was convicted in 2005 when he was 45 years old. He is now 59.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter in each Logan County municipality.
