Village of Williamsville Village Board met July 8.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The Town Hall/board meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by President Yokley. Clerk: Karen Winger.

Trustees: Dave Carter, John Brennan, Heather Hofferkamp, Patrick Gettleman, Skylar Tierney. Absent: Matt Bunger

GUESTS: Andy Goleman (Sangamon County Auditor) and Judge Raylene Grischow (Circuit Judge) attended the meeting to introduce themselves and to discuss their positions. President Yokley mentioned an issue the Village has had in the past regarding an overweight vehicle and the fines being significantly reduced without even consulting the Police Department first.

COMMUNICATIONS: President Yokley stated the Local Officials Day at the State Fair will be held on August 17th.

Trustee Carter made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular board meeting held on June 24, 2019. Trustee Gettleman seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

FINANCE: Trustee Tierney made a motion to pay bills as presented. Trustee Hofferkamp seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

PUBLIC SAFETY (John Brennan): Trustee Brennan shared the Incident Analysis report for June.

Trustee Brennan made a motion to approve the Administrative Rules (see attached) in order to support the registration of the non-highway vehicles. Trustee Hofferkamp seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

WATER & SEWER, (Matt Bunger): Trustee Bunger was absent.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (Hofferkamp): Trustee Hofferkamp stated her committee held a meeting. They have received a new TIF application from Pruitt Performance. The application is regarding reimbursement for some improvements that were made to the building.

Trustee Hofferkamp made a motion to approve the application in the amount of $231.53. Trustee Brennan seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.

Trustee Hofferkamp stated Central IL Signs did not attend her committee meeting due to no additional information to report on.

Trustee Hofferkamp stated the Village has been approached by a business asking for information on any property available in or around Williamsville for a solar farm. She stated the Village will tell him to contact some of the landowners in the area.

PARKS & RECREATION (Dave Carter): Trustee Carter thanked Kent Thompson, Public Works employees and Absolute Concrete for all their work at the park. He has received a lot of compliments.

Trustee Carter thanked the Sun Times Newspaper for publishing events that happen at the library.

Trustee Carter complimented the library/museum on their World War II exhibit. He invited everyone to visit the exhibit. Trustee Carter thanked the library/museum employees and volunteers.

STREETS, ALLEYS, SIDEWALKS & STORM SEWERS (Patrick Gettleman): Trustee Gettleman thanked Kent Thompson and his crew for completing the Main Street drainage project.

Kent Thompson stated no date has been set yet for the oiling of the streets.

ADDITIONAL BUSINESS: President Yokley shared some information he has received from Dwayne Weiss regarding an elevation marker. This elevation marker is located at the corner of Old Main Street and Williams Street. This is an elevation marker. This marker shows that location is 598.05 feet above sea level.

Trustee Carter discussed an article in the magazine provided by IML regarding taxes. He would like the newspaper to republish this article, if we can get permission from IML.

The regular board meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Village of Williamsville adjourned at 6:59 p.m.
