Illinois College Esports earns key wins in Valorant and Rocket League

Illinois College Esports teams had a full week of competition, securing important wins in Valorant and Rocket League.

The Valorant team achieved two victories. They defeated Illinois State 2–1, with Fray Moulton recording 67 kills and setting a new program record with a 2.15 career KDA. The team then swept St. Ambrose 2–0, led by Dwight Duijneveld’s career-best performance of 61 kills and 15 first bloods.

In Rocket League, Illinois College swept the University of Illinois 4–0, with Lucas Barry, Dwight Duijneveld, and Glenn Conway all contributing to the scoring. Earlier in the week, they lost to Saint Ambrose by a score of 0–4.

The Overwatch team played a close five-map match against Buena Vista but ultimately lost 2–3. In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate action, the team was defeated by Rockford despite Julian Luaders’ strong showing with 13 knockouts.
