The Illinois College Valorant team secured a 2–1 victory over Illinois State University in NECC competition on Monday night. After losing the first map, Sunset, by a score of 13–10, Illinois College responded with a 13–5 win on Ascent and finished the series with a 13–6 result on Lotus.
Fray Moulton led the team with 67 kills and achieved a 2.15 KDA for the match. With this performance, Moulton became the program's all-time leader in career KDA at 1.97. Teammate Dwight Duijneveld contributed 63 kills and posted a 1.91 KDA, while Jonest Eisfelder added 45 kills to help secure the win.
Illinois College will return to action on Tuesday, September 30th for an MVEC match against Saint Ambrose University at 7:00 p.m.
