Rochester home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Rochester rose by $22,550 while total sales decreased by 13.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were 19 homes sold, with a median sale price of $178,000 - a 14.5% increase over the $155,450 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 22 homes sold in Rochester in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Rochester for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,247, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2018.
