Southern View home prices fall in the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Southern View, a Springfield neighborhood, fell by $1,750 while total sales decreased by 13.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were 13 homes sold, with a median sale price of $53,250 - a 3.2% decrease over the $55,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 15 homes sold in Southern View in the second half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Southern View for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,174, approximately 2.2% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2018.
