Ball-Chatham Community Unit School District 5 issued the following announcement on Oct. 28.
Featuring a glorious Gershwin score as the backdrop of a screwball, romantic comedy, the Broadway-acclaimed musical, “Nice Work If You Can Get It,” will be presented at Glenwood High School, November 8, 9 and 10.
Set in the flapper-era 1920s, the musical features a wealthy playboy who gets mixed up with a hilarious trio of bootleggers. Featuring songs by the Gershwins, you’ll love the familiar melodies of “Someone to Watch Over Me,” “S’Wonderful,” “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off,” and “Fascinating Rhythm.”
