Canton Union School District 66 Board met October 28.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

1. CALL TO ORDER


      Committee Member Matt Kees called the special meeting to order at 4:34 PM in the Boardroom at the Administration Building, 20 West Walnut Street, Canton.

2. ROLL CALL

      Committee members present and answering roll call were Matt Kees, Jane Lewis, Rolf Sivertsen, Tad DeRenzy and William Phillips. Committee member Rod Harris was absent.

3. AUDIENCE REQUESTS TO ADDRESS THE BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE There were no audience requests to address the Buildings and Grounds Committee.

4. DISCUSSION ITEMS

      A. Facility Planning Presentation

             1. District Architects Phillips & Associates

                   a. Review Building Information

                        William Phillips reviewed each of the buildings in the school district. He discussed the attributes, sizes in square footage, the number of classrooms and the number of staff members at each location.

                  b. Review Proposed Building Survey

                        A survey will be sent out to staff and students. The completed surveys will provide the architects with priorities. Committee members reviewed the items listed in the proposed survey.

                  c. Four Steps in Planning

                        This will be determined at a later date. There was no further discussion on this topic.

                  d. Execution of Planning

                         This will be determined at a later date. There was no further discussion on this topic.

                   e. Planning Schedule

                         This will be determined at a later date. There was no further discussion on this topic.

5. ADJOURN

      The special meeting of the Buildings and Grounds Committee adjourned at 6:17 PM.
