Ball-Chatham Community Unit School District 5 issued the following announcement on Jan. 27.
The Ball-Chatham School District will be "taking the plunge" to help support Special Olympics. We are competing in the "Cool School Challenge" where our goal is to raise more money than competing school districts. We need YOUR help to accomplish this. There are two ways to help:
Sign up and take the plunge with us (which is saying you are committed to raise at least $100 and are willing to jump in icy cold water on March 7th) or
Go to the team site below and donate money towards one of the participants goals (each person needs to raise $100). There are many members of our school district who are active participants in the Special Olympics and who benefit from this fundraising event. #BeBoldGetCold
