Mayor pro tempore (pro tem) Patterson opened the regular board meeting up at 6:00PM
TREASURER’S REPORT: Mayor pro tem Patterson presented the January 2020 Treasurer’s report to the board for approval. Trustee Holloway made a motion to accept the report as presented to the board. Trustee Hamilton seconded the motion. Vote taken, motion carries. Roll call – Branson – Aye, Grider – Aye, Hamilton – Aye, Holloway – Aye, Mann – Aye. Nay – 0.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Mayor pro tem Patterson presented the following minutes for approval: August 2019 Executive Session, September 2019 Regular Meeting, December 2019 Regular Meeting and January 2020 Regular Meeting. Trustee Hamilton made a motion to approve all the minutes as presented. Trustee Holloway seconded the motion. All favored, motion carried.
APPROVAL OF PAYMENTS: Mayor pro tem Patterson presented the unpaid bills to the board for approval. Trustee Hamilton made a motion to accept the unpaid bills as presented to the board. Trustee Holloway seconded it. Vote taken, motion carries. Roll call – Branson Aye, Grider – Aye, Hamilton – aye, Holloway – Aye, Mann – Aye. Nay – 0.
VISITORS: No Visitors
OLD BUSINESS: No Old Business
NEW BUSINESS: Trustee Hamilton made a motion to accept the Resolution approving funds from the Sangamon County Bridge Fund. Trustee Holloway seconded the motion. All favored, motion carried.
DEPARTMENT REPORTS:
PARKS – Mayor pro tem Patterson asked Treasurer Lewis if the Ball League paid the agreed amount of $750.00 last year to offset the costs of electric and cleaning during the ball season. Treasurer Lewis stated, no they did not. Mayor pro tem Patterson stated the Village will need to have a meeting with the Baseball League.
STREETS DEPARTMENT – Trustee Hamilton stated that the Village will be using Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) Funds this year to Rock and Oil Streets.
POLICE DEPARTMENT – Chief Workman stated he has submitted the Police Report to the board, which is on file at the Village Hall.
PERMITS – Trustee Mann stated no permits.
DELINQUENT BILLS – Trustee Grider stated there were 2 shutoffs and 2 turned back on.
WATER/SEWER DEPARTMENT – Trustee Holloway stated that our water bills have been arriving to our residents late; according to the Loami Postmaster, the yearly permit the Village uses requires that the bills be mailed out of Springfield. Therefore, we are looking into a postage machine so that the bills can be mailed out of Loami.
PUBLIC SAFETY – Trustee Mann stated that there is still a Street Light out at Smith and Coley. Trustee Man asked Clerk Glynn to call Ameren, Clerk Glynn stated she would.
With no further business at hand, Trustee Branson made a motion to adjourn the regular meeting. Trustee Holloway seconded it. All favored, motion carries.
