Village of Greenview Village Board met March 17.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

President Curry called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and all present participated in the pledge of allegiance. The roll call indicated that Trustees Roy Lee, Joseph Wohler, Patrick Feagans and Raymond VanCleve were present. Other village personnel present were Village, Village Clerk Monica Brumm and Village Treasurer Jerry Cottingham.

Public Participation:

Deanna Reese was present and brought pictures in regarding filing a variance on a mobile home that she would like to move into the trailer park.

Jerry Cottingham gave the treasurers report for February. A motion was made by Trustee Lee and seconded by Trustee Wohler to approve the report. All present voted aye. Report filed into record.

The minutes from the March 2nd, 2019 board meeting were reviewed by each board member. A motion made by Trustee Feagans and seconded by Trustee Lee to approve the minutes. Minutes approved and filed in record.

Income/Expense/Bill Report- The bills were reviewed by each board member. Approval of the income/expense report was roll called, all present in favor voted aye. Filed into record.

Old Business-

1. Discussion was had on the all the misinformation that is out there about the sewer system project. 2. Discussion was had on the Rise Broadband Lease Renewal. Was discussed to raise the lease rate to $250 per month from $100. Will be voted on at the next meeting. 3. A motion was made by Trustee Lee and seconded by Trustee Feagans to accept Jerry Cottingham’s resignation as Village Treasurer. All present, in favor voted aye. Motion passed.

New Business-

1. Discussion was had on when a complaint gets filed to the Village that it will be investigated and if found valid will be acted upon. 2. Discussion was had that we made need to look at the building permit section of the zoning ordinance and possibly amend to allow fines for not obtaining one and also amending to fees must be paid by cash, money order or credit/debit card.

Committee Reports:

Trustee Feagans: Needs to have tree removed in font of the Green’s residence. Approximate cost $800. Will vote on at the next meeting

Trustee Heavner: Absent

Trustee VanCleve: Nothing

Trustee Wohler: Received a call from Beth Stewart regarding a sewage issue that was with the Village’s pipe. Had to call Roto-Rooter to get jetted out at a cost of $635. I

Trustee Lee: They have gotten several resumes for both the Treasurer and the full-time water/maintenance position. A motion was made by Trustee Lee and seconded by Trustee Feagans to appoint Krystal Heriford as the new Village Treasurer. A formal vote will be made at the next meeting.

Trustee Hofmann: Absent

Clerk: Nothing.

President: Nothing

Meeting adjourned at 7:45 pm

At the conclusion of all business, the announcement of the next meeting was made. The next meeting will be held on Monday April 6th, 2020 at 7:00 pm.
