NEW BUSINESS
Golf Operations as related to COVID-19
Exec. Dir. Fullerton stated that Governor Pritzker has revised the parameters of the “Stay at Home” shut down due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Golf operations at Arlington Lakes Golf Course can be made available to customers on a limited basis. As determined by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity: If a golf course opens, the clubhouse must remain closed, it may not provide food or beverage service, including food or beverage cart service, or allow the use of golf carts by golfers. Only online or telephone scheduling is allowed. Golfers and staff must observe social distancing guidelines while at the golf course.
The consensus of the Board was to reopen ALGC with no use of the Clubhouse, including no indoor restroom facilities, snack shop, or merchandise sales. From the snack shop window, using an intercom system, golfers will be spaced to every fifteen minutes for start times. Signage will be on the course reminding golfers to remain six feet apart and practice social distancing. No pins will be placed, no carts, and holes will be filled with a filler to eliminate reaching into the cup.
Vice President Gelinas moved, seconded by Comr. Owen to reopen Arlington Lakes Golf Course. On a voice vote the motion was approved 4-0.
ADJOURNMENT
Comr. Nesvacil moved, seconded by Vice President Gelinas, to adjourn at 9:13 a.m. On voice vote the motion was approved 4-0.
