Ball-Chatham Community Unit School District 5 issued the following announcement on June 19.
The Ball-Chatham School District’s Board of Education voted to approve the 2019-2022 support staff contract at their June 15, 2020 meeting. Details of the contract can be found here.
Supt. Dr. Douglas Wood, Board President William Brewer, and BCESPA President Greg Hames released the following joint statement:
“We are pleased with the contract that was negotiated. The salary increases fit within the parameters of maintaining a balanced budget, and the three years reflect a commitment on all sides to do what is best for our students. Both the BCESPA and the Board of Education passed the contract with overwhelming support. Both parties look forward to building an even stronger relationship between the support staff and the Ball-Chatham community; as well as working collaboratively to create solutions and conditions which are best for our students. We will continue to our efforts to work collaboratively so that we can attract and retain staff committed to Ball-Chatham CUSD #5.”
