Analysis: Lincoln pays $1.78 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lincoln Rural FPD Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 64 percent of the $75,024 the Lincoln Rural FPD Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $1.78 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lincoln contributed $48,035 to the fund, which saw a $68 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $26,969, or 35.9 percent, in 2018. Another $20 came from other unspecified sources.
