The regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Athens School District, Athens, Illinois was called to order by President Penrod on July 22, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
Members Present: Gordon, Penrod, Purchis, Shiffer, Westervelt
Members Absent: Mayfield, Woodrum
Administrators Present: Laird
Visitors Present: C. Dion, Jyl Waller
RECEPTION OF VISITORS, PETITIONS, COMMUNICATIONS
There were no comments from visitors, petitions, or communications during the regular meeting.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Motion by, Mr. Gordon, seconded by Mr. Shiffer to enter into executive session, for the discussion of matters pertaining to personnel at 7:01 p.m.

Mr. Laird reviewed the FY19 Final Budget and presented the tentative FY20 Budget.

Personnel Recommendations
Motion by Mr. Gordon, seconded by Mr. Shiffer to accept the resignations of Mr. Clem Uptmor, from his position as 6th grade teacher, at Cantrall Intermediate School, Mrs. Michelle Lowry, from her position as 5th grade teacher at Cantrall Intermediate School, and Mr. Patrick Dixon, from his position as custodian at Athens Junior High School, effective immediately, and approve the extra duty assignments for Mr. Derek Hughes as assistance baseball coach at Athens Junior High School, effective for the 2019-20 school year.

Mr. Penrod and Mr. Laird provided a building remodel update.
