Village of Chatham Village Board met Sept. 22.
Here is the minutes provided by the board:
Call to Order - Village President Kimsey called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM and was followed by a moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance being spoken.
Roll Call - Present: Trustee Mann, Trustee Gerger, Trustee Chiaro, Trustee Detmers, Village President Kimsey, Trustee Mau, and Trustee Scherschel
Others Present: Village Manager McCarthy, Police Chief Foli, Village Attorney Greg Moredock and Deputy Clerk Moran
Public Announcements: If you have a Public announcement you must email it to (publiccomments@chathamil.net) at least 30 minutes before the beginning of the scheduled meeting.
Village Manager McCarthy gave a few announcements. They are as follows;
1. Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 7:00 AM - 12:00 Noon is Dumpster Day at South Park. The bidding will be open at 11:00 AM this Monday for companies to offer bids to bring their dumpster.
2. Monday, October 19, 2020 bidding will open for Risk Management offers for the Village employees.
Village President Kimsey gave an announcement, as follows:
1. The Iillinois Environmental Protection Agency will be holding its household items disposal (aerosol sprays, paint cans, etc) gathering on Saturday, November 7, 2020. This event is open to all Illinois residents. Chatham residents need to contact the Springfield Public Works Department before attending this event.

Regular Village Board Meeting Minutes from Tuesday, September 8th, 2020.
Warrants Resolution 36-20
Motion to Rectify Error in Billing for 220 Teal Drive
Village President Kimsey asked for a motion to approve the Consent Agenda as listed above under the Consent Agenda heading. Motion was made by Trustee Mau and seconded by Trustee Chiaro to approve Warrants Resolution 36-20, approve the Regular Village Board meeting Minutes from September 8, 2020, and rectify the error in billing for 220 Teal Drive, Chatham, IL. All others voiced approval. Motion is approved.
Old Business: Old Business presented by Village Manager McCarthy.
Bike path updates: The Village is receiving quotes at this time to repair the problem of roots growing underneath the concrete which is causing the concrete to buckle and break. One quote is half of what the other quote is at. More discussion needed.
New Business
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE LIQUOR CODE RELATED TO PROHIBITIONS REGARDING CONSUMPTION AND POSSESSION OF ALCOHOL BY INDIVIDUALS UNDER THE AGE OF 21:
Village President Kimsey asked for a motion for Ordinance 20-25 amending the Village liquour code related to prohibitions regarding consumption and possession of alcohol by individuals under the age of 21. Trustee Scherschel made the motion and was seconded by Trustee Chiaro. All others voiced approval. Motion is approved.
Voting results as follows:
Trustee Mann - Yes, Trustee Gerger, - Yes, Trustee Chiaro - Yes, Trustee Detmers - Yes, Trustee Mau - Yes, and Trustee Scherschel - Yes. Final vote - 6 - 0. No abstains, no absences.
