Village of Chatham Village Board met Oct. 13.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

A. Call to Order

1. Moment of Silence

2. Pledge of Allegiance

3. Roll Call

Present: Trustee Mann, Trustee Gerger, Trustee Chiaro, Trustee Detmers, Village President Kimsey, Trustee Mau, and Trustee Scherschel

Others Present: Village Manager McCarthy, Police Chief Foli, Village Attorney Greg Moredock, and Clerk Dahlkamp

4. Public Announcements: If you have a Public announcement you must email it to (publiccomments@chathamil.net) at least 30 minutes before the beginning of the scheduled meeting.

Village President Kimsey- Dumpster Day was a big success due to the village employees and various volunteer groups throughout the community. At the next village meeting there will be an ordinance to dedicate

Volunteer Drive to Chatham Community Volunteer Drive for the next fiscal year of its dedication.

Trustee Scherschel- Thank you to Habitat for Humanity for coming to the dumpster day and taking items from residents.

5. Public Comments Agenda Topics: If you have a Public Comments on Agenda Topics you must email it to (publiccomments@chathamil.net) at least 30 minutes before the beginning of the scheduled meeting.

B. Consent Agenda

1. Regular Village Board Meeting Minutes from Tuesday, September 22nd, 2020.

2. Warrants Resolution 37-20

Trustee Chiaro moved, seconded by Trustee Mau to put the consent agenda on the table for action. The consent agenda passed 6 yes, 0 no, and 0 absent as follows: Trustee Mann yes, Mau yes, Chiaro yes, Gerger yes, Scherschel yes, and Detmers yes.

C. Old Business

There was NO old business this evening.

D. New Business

1. Resolution for Recommendation Trick or Treating Hours, Resolution 38-20

Trustee Mau moved, seconded by Trustee Mann to put the resolution on the table for action. Resolution 38-20 passed 6 yes, 0 no, and 0 absent as follows: Trustee Mann yes, Mau yes, Chiaro yes, Gerger yes, Scherschel yes, and Detmers yes.

2. Public Comments Village Business: If you have a Public Comments on Village Business you must email it to (publiccomments@chathamil.net) at least 30 minutes before the beginning of the scheduled meeting.

Will Tracy- Public garden request off of Gordon Drive by Pleasant Park Daycare. The developers of the land have said it is okay if the community gardens are on their property.
