SSWC Discussion - Jim Roth, Bill Brown, and Steve Bivens attended the meeting tonight. Jim Roth is employed by SSWC and Steve Bivens is the plant manager. Bill Brown is a representative for the
Village of Chatham to the SSWC. Discussion.
A question was raised regarding whether the commission had applied for an operations permit to issue the choloramines. The permit application needs to submitted to the EPA.
Jim Roth stated that the SSWC will proceed to have the chloramines added when issues have been resolved. The next necessary steps are to get the software set up for the placing the chloramines
into the water supply. SSWC has had to go from one provider to another for the proper software. Some of the problems have been resolved, but not all of them. Those problems should be resolved
by the time of the next Utility Oversight Subcommittee meeting. SSWC will need to use CWLP for a back-up.
Dustin Crawford spoke about what happens in the Village of Chatham regarding our water control features. The water residuals need to be recorded and monitored in the Village of Chatham. There
are five sites in Chatham where samples are taken to measure the residuals of chemicals.
The SSWC will meet in two weeks to make some more important decisions about the water plant.
Village Manager Pat McCarthy spoke about the contract between the water suppliers. This needs to be addressed before the contract is signed.
Shut Off Discussion - Paul Pachelhofer had received some of the stats regarding how many residents have been effected by the shut-off. Discussion followed. The current policy will be in effect
until through March. No other plans yet.
