Village of Chatham Village Board Met April 13.

A. Call to Order

Others Present: Village Manager McCarthy, Chief Foli, Attorney Moredock, and Clerk Dahlkamp.

4. Public Announcements: If you have a Public announcement you must email it to (publiccomments@chathamil.net) at least 30 minutes before the beginning of the scheduled meeting.

Les Morgan- Friday (4/16) will be the cutoff to submit your application for the memorial brick dedication.

Village President Kimsey- The Village has received a Governmental Budgeting Award. A special recognition for the Village Chief Fiscal Officer Sherry Dierking, and all of the hard work herself and staff put into the budget every year.

5. Public Comments Agenda Topics: If you have a Public Comments on Agenda Topics you must email it to (publiccomments@chathamil.net) at least 30 minutes before the beginning of the scheduled meeting.

Trustee Mau moved, seconded by Trustee Chiaro to put the consent agends on the table for action. The consent agenda passed 5 yes, 0 no, and 1 absent as follows: Trustee Scherschel yes, Gerger yes, Detmers yes, Mau yes, Chiaro yes, and Mann absent.

C. Old Business

1. RESOLUTION NO. 07- 21 AN RESOLUTION RELEASING THE LETTER OF CREDIT FOR CARDINAL RIDGE

This agenda item was tabled, and will be on the agenda in old business at the next meeting.

D. New Business

1. An Ordinance Approving the Release of Executive Session Minutes, Ordinance 21-13

Trustee Detmers moved, seconded by Trustee Chiaro to put the ordinance on the table for action. Ordinance 21-13 passed 5 yes, 0 no, and 1 absent as follows: Trustee Scherschel yes, Gerger yes, Detmers yes, Mau yes, Chiaro yes, and Mann absent.

2. An Ordinance approving a franchise fee for Broadband services, Ordinance 21-14

Trustee Mau moved, seconded by Trustee Chiaro to put the ordinance on the table for action. Ordinance 21-14 passed 4 yes, 1 present, 0 no, and 1 absent as follows: Trustee Scherschel yes, Gerger yes, Mau yes, Chiaro yes, Detmers present, and Mann absent.

There were no public comments on village business.

Trustee Chiaro moved, seconded by Trustee Detmers to suspend the regular board meeting 6:08 pm, proceed to the Committee of the Whole at 6:15, and when that meeting is done, resume closed session at the Regular Board Meeting. This motion passed 5 yes, 0 no, and 1 absent as follows: Trustee Scherschel yes, Gerger yes, Detmers yes, Mau yes, Chiaro yes, and Mann absent.

F. Closed Session

At 7:01 PM Trustee Chiaro moved, seconded by Trustee Mau to moved into Executive Session. This motion passed: 5 yes, 0 no, and 1 absent as follows: Trustee Scherschel yes, Gerger yes, Detmers yes, Mau yes, Chiaro yes, and Mann absent. Tonight's Executive Session was under:

1. Personnel under 2(c)(1)

2. Collective Negotiating Matter (2)(c)(2)

3. Litigation under 2(c)(11)

4. Setting the price for sale of public property (2)(c)(2).

G. Reconvene Open Session

Trustee Schershel moved, seconded by Trustee Detmers to reconvene open session. This motion passed: 5 yes, 0 no, and 1 absent as follows: Trustee Scherschel yes, Gerger yes, Detmers yes, Mau yes, Chiaro yes, and Mann absent.

H. Closing

At 8:43 PM Trustee Chiaro moved to adjourn, seconded by Trustee Gerger. This motion was passed by voice vote.
