City of Athens City Council met April 22.
Here is the minutes provided by the council:
Mayor Bob Dowell opened the meeting at 7pm and thanked everyone for attending. City Clerk Cindy McFarland called roll. Those in attendance were Mayor Bob Dowell and Aldermen: Amy Chernowsky, Rachel Lantz, Butch Nichols, Chris Reichert, and Greg Hoffman, Alderman Angella Thompson was absent. All stood and recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion made by Alderman Chernowsky, seconded by Alderman Lantz, to adopt Resolution 02-2021, a resolution authorizing the sale of surplus city owned real estate, Ayes: Hoffman, Chernowsky, Lantz, Nichols, and Reichert. Motion passed.
Motion made by Alderman Nichols, seconded by Alderman Reichert, approve the contracts to sell/purchase real estate. All ayes. Motion passed.
The Mayor thanked everyone and council adjourned at 7:08pm.
