issued the following announcement on July 14
The State of Illinois will join medical device producer Amsino Medical Group and local officials for a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the company’s new $32 million North American distribution & manufacturing hub in Aurora. With support from the State and local partners, the global medical and healthcare products company has built a 220,000 SF state of the art manufacturing site – relocating core warehousing functions and making way for the creation of 110 new local jobs.
The expansion of Amsino Medical Group was supported in part by an EDGE tax credit agreement awarded by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO). Amsino is one of 20 companies in the life sciences sector embarking on plans to expand in Illinois last year. Amsino Medical Group, based in California, produces saline type solutions and a variety of other medical supplies and devices. Aurora is the site of its first and only manufacturing facility in the Midwest – and the company is set to expand on its next phase of construction at the Aurora site this fall.
