Report: South Beloit School District spent $11,898 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at South Beloit Community Unified School District 320 was up 19.1 percent from five years ago, according to the Sangamon Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Winnebago County school district spent $9,989 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,898 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,065 to 938 students over the same period.

South Beloit's spending in 2019-20 was 17.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
