City of Athens City Council met Jan. 5.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
The Athens City Council met for a regular schedule Committee Meeting Thursday, January 5th, 2023.
Mayor Reichert called the meeting to order at 7:00PM. The roll call taken indicated that Alderman Hoffman, Alderman Puma, Alderman Tobias and Alderman Lantz were present, other city personnel present were Treasurer Derrick Fritz and City Clerk Rhonda Ethell.
Derrick Fritz gave the treasurer's report along with the public works report.
Committee reports:
Nothing new to report for the Cemetery and Library.
New Business discussions included the 2022 Audit Review and replacing the city's holiday decorations with funds from the gaming fund.
Old business discussions included valves are failing at the water plant and need replaced.
Meeting adjourned at 7:36 PM
