Village of Chatham Village Board met Jan. 10.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

• CALL TO ORDER 

❖ Meeting was called to order at 1733 hours.

• ROLL CALL 

❖ Present were Trustee Perkins, Trustee Mueller, Trustee Bell; Chief Self; Assistant Chief Bolletta; Division Chief Rose; Lt. Bramley; FF/EMTP Rogers, Suhling, Faloon, and Office Manger Kashima Stotts

❖ Absent:

• APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MINUTES 

❖ Open session minutes of December 13, 2022, District Meetings were presented for approval. Motion to approve the minutes was made by Trustee Mueller and seconded by Trustee Bell; motion passed.

• TREASURERS REPORT 

❖ Trustee Bell and Trustee Perkins accepted treasurer’s report.

❖ Motion was made to pay the bill by Trustee Mueller and seconded by Trustee Bell; motion passed.

• PUBLIC COMMENTS AND CONCERNS: 

❖ No public comment.

• OLD BUSINESS: 

❖ Discussion / Approval on Website, Computer Works Family LLC in the amount of $1,015.00 was discussed, Trustee Mueller made a motion to approve the agreement with Computer Works and was seconded by Trustee Perkins; motion passed.

❖ Discussion / approval of approved overtime payroll memorandum for full time personnel was discussed during closed session.

• NEW BUSINESS: 

❖ Vendor List was discussed, Trustee Mueller made a motion to add the additions to the vendors list and was seconded by Trustee Bell; motion passed.

❖ Discussion / Approval for FF/EMTP Milner to attend Advanced Firefighter, March 6- 10, course fee $1,000.00 and the cost of lodging was discussed, Trustee Mueller made a motion to approve the training for Milner and was seconded by Trustee Bell; motion passed.

❖ Discussion / Approval for FF/EMTB Faloon to attend Advanced Firefighter, March 6- 10, course fee $1,000.00 and the cost of lodging was discussed, Trustee Mueller made a motion to approve the training for Faloon and was seconded by Trustee Bell; motion passed.

❖ Discussion / Approval for FF/EMTB Faloon and Suhling to attend FAE April weekends, Trustee Mueller made a motion to approve Faloon and Suhling for training and was seconded by Trustee Bell; motion passed.

❖ Discussion / Approval for Ff/EMTP Follis to attend Emergency Service at Lincoln Land Community College was discussed, Trustee Mueller made a motion to approve the training course for Follis and was seconded by Trustee Perkins; motion passed.

❖ Discussion / Approval for FF Brockway, Kerr, and Pinkston to attend BOF at Sherman beginning in January was discussed, Trustee Mueller made a motion to approve the training for Brockway, Kerr and Pinkston and was seconded by Trustee Bell; motion passed.

❖ Discussion / Approval to split the cost with FFIB to replace the treadmill, Trustee Mueller made a motion to split the cost of replacing the treadmill in the amount of $1,999.00 and was seconded by Trustee Bell; motion passed.

❖ Discussion / Approval to split the cost with FFIB to purchase training shields, Trustee Bell made a motion to split the cost of the shields at $55.00 ea. for a total of 12 shields and was seconded by Trustee Perkins; motion passed.

❖ Discussion and approval to renew the membership and pay the dues for the Fire Chief’s Association in the amount of $200.00, Trustee Mueller made a motion to approve the renewal of the membership with Fire Chiefs Association and was seconded by Trustee Bell; motion passed.

❖ Discussion, review and to seek legal advice for the WSEC tower lease agreement, new owners, Ball Chatham School District, Trustees would like the attorney to review the agreement.

❖ BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS: 

❖ Discussion given by Chief Self

• Presented name on list.

• Tatge is moving along.

• PENSION BOARD: 

❖ Discussion by Division Chief Rose

• Meet in February

• We transferred money to the state.

• FOREIGN FIRE INSURANCE BOARD: 

❖ Discussion given by FF/Paramedic Suhling

• Purchased grip material for hand tools.

• 20 new LED Headlights

• Special meeting on 1/11/2022 for treadmill purchase

• New member to the Board Faloon and re-elected Bone and Damhoff

• DIVISION CHIEF ROSE’S REPORT 

• 3F28underwent transmission repair

• 3F29 will be going to Chatham Collision for repair on December 20th. 

• 3F27 has a new set of tires placed on the front end in Loami at Dugan’s 

• Engine three is at Banner Fire for a steering assist ram that started to leak. 

• Still waiting on parts for the recalls on Command one and Utility One

• The new headlights are in and installed on E2, E3 and Truck 1

• Some minor lighting repairs were accomplished on several vehicles.

• CLOSED SESSION 

❖ Motion to go into Closed Session at 1847 hours to discuss Employment / Appointment matters in accordance with (5 ILCS 120/2) (c) (1) was made by Trustee Mueller and seconded by Trustee Bell; motion passed.

• ADJOURNMENT 

❖ Motion to adjourn meeting at 1926hours was made by Trustee Bell and was seconded Trustee Mueller motion passed.
