City of Athens City Council Committee met April 6
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
The Athens City Council met for its monthly committee meeting on Thursday April 6th, 2023.
Mayor Reichert called the meeting to order at 7:00pm. A roll call was taken indicating Aldermen Chernowsky, Alderman Thompson, Aldermen Tobias and Aldermen Lantz were all present.
Audience members in attendance included Gary Richardson, Joe Craven, Don Craven, Brian Halcomb,
Tracy Merz and Tom Merz.
Reports
The Police Report was presented by Chief Tim Becker.
The Treasurer’s Report was presented by Treasurer Derrick Fritz.
The Public Works Report was presented by Public Works Superintendent Derrick Frit.

Donations for Glory Days wristbands
Tom Merz requested a liquor license for a new business.
Budget review
Sidewalk proposal
Fireworks display.
Old Business
Municipal and Library agreement approved by Library.
