Arthur Community Unit School District #305 Board of Education met May 2

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

A special meeting of the Arthur Board of Education was called to order by President Beth Wiley at 7:00 pm on May 2, 2023 in the Arthur Lovington Atwood-Hammond High School Cafeteria with the following members: Suzi Berkich, Brock Casteel, Monica Green, Kristie Mechling, Ryan Nettles, Justin Wierman, and Beth Wiley. Mr. Shannon Cheek was also present.

Mr. Cheek appointed Monica Green as President Pro-Tem.

Monica Green opened nominations for the office of president. Kristie Mechling nominated Beth Wiley for president. Hearing no further nominations, the nominations for the office of president was closed and Beth Wiley was declared elected as president.

Beth Wiley opened nominations for the office of vice president. Kristie Mechling nominated Monica Green for vice president. Hearing no further nominations, the nominations for the office of vice president was closed and Monica Green was declared elected as vice president.

Beth Wiley opened nominations for the office of secretary. Ryan Nettles nominated Kristie Mechling for secretary. Hearing no further nominations, the nominations for secretary was closed and Kristie Mechling was declared elected as secretary.

Regular meeting dates and times were set as the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm.

A motion was made by Brock Casteel, seconded by Justin Wierman to adjourn at 7:19 pm. All members voted yea. Motion carried.
