Village of Chatham Board of Fire Commissioners met May 16.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

• CALL TO ORDER 

❖ Meeting started at 1735 hours.  

• ROLL CALL  

❖ Present were Commissioner Holden, Hoskinson, Self, Leyva 

❖ Absent were: Commissioner Hill  

• APPROVING OF PREVIOUS MINUTES 

❖ Open session minutes from April 24, 2023, were discussed, Commissioner Hoskinson made a  motion to approve the minutes and was seconded by Commissioner Holden; motion passed.  

Holden yes Hill absent Hoskinson yes 

• PUBLIC COMMENTS AND CONCERNS: 

❖ No public comment  

• OLD BUSINESS: 

❖ No old business.  

• NEW BUSINESS: 

❖ Discussion/approval of the timeline of events for the Lieutenants Promotional Process. Commissioner Hoskinson made a motion to approve the timeline of events and was seconded by Commissioner  Holden; motion passed.

❖ Discussion/approval of testing company, Resource Management Associates, and materials for the  Lieutenants Promotional Process. Commissioner Hoskinson made a motion to approve and was  seconded by Commissioner Holden; motion passed.

❖ Discussion/approval of the application for Lieutenants Promotional Process. Commissioner Hoskinson  made a motion to approve the application and was seconded by Commissioner Holden; motion passed. 

Holden yes Hill absent Hoskinson yes 

❖ Discussion of the selecting the monitors for the Lieutenants Promotional Process. The Board would  like Chief Self to contact two approved monitors and have the contract information ready for next  meeting.  

• CLOSED SESSION: 

❖ No closed session  

• ADJOURNMENT 

❖ Motion was made by Commissioner Hoskinson to adjourn the meeting at 1747 hours and was  seconded by Commissioner Holden; motion passed.
