Democrats may miss their self-imposed budget deadline again this year, with Republicans once more excluded from the process. "We have to work together if we want to craft the best budget for our state," a Republican representative stated.
The importance of bipartisan legislation for a strong state was emphasized, with concerns raised about the lack of conversations between parties on finding solutions to state issues. As the potential $53 billion budget approaches its finalization, details remain unclear.
"Here we are one day away from passing a potential $53 billion dollar budget and it’s still not clear what exactly will be included," said another Republican representative.
