Illinois residents can fish free of charge in numerous locations this weekend as the state’s annual Free Fishing Days commence on Friday. The Illinois Department of Natural Resources has announced that Free Fishing Days will take place from June 14-17, allowing residents to fish without a license, salmon stamp, or inland trout stamp.
"This is a great time to get kids out on the water and teach them how to fish," stated an official from the department.
