Dillan Baum named assistant volleyball coach for Illinois College

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. -- Dillan Baum has been named the new assistant coach for the Illinois College volleyball program, it was announced today by Head Coach Claire Scully.

Baum brings extensive volleyball coaching and playing experience to the Lady Blues. He has spent the past eight years as a member of the coaching staff at the Illini United Volleyball Club. While working with the club, he also coached at the collegiate level, serving as an assistant at Augustana College from 2017-21. His resume also includes coaching stints at Warrensburg-Latham and Mt. Zion high schools.

Aside from his coaching experience, Baum has taught at Dennis Lab Middle School in Decatur, IL.

As a player, Baum was a member of the Augustana men's varsity volleyball team from 2017-21.

Baum earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology & Graphic Design/Art from Augustana in 2021.
