The Illinois College women's soccer team began their season with a 1-0 victory over Nebraska Wesleyan on Sunday at England Stadium in Jacksonville, Illinois.

The match's only goal was scored early by Haley Sommer, who found the back of the net just 5:20 into the contest. The Lady Blues maintained strong defense throughout the game, with sophomore goalkeeper Sophia Kriegesmann stopping all eight shots from the Prairie Wolves.
