The Illinois College men's tennis top doubles team achieved a significant victory, but the Blueboys ultimately fell 7-0 to Millikin on Wednesday at the Bellatti Tennis Complex.
Highlighting the evening was the win by Illinois College's No. 1 doubles team of Jeff Wernsing and Glenn Conway, who upset Millikin's top tandem of Cole Phillps and Theo Wolf with a score of 6-4. Despite this victory, Millikin secured wins in the remaining two doubles matches to claim the team doubles point.
Millikin then swept all singles matches to clinch the overall victory.
The Blueboys will return to action on Sunday when they host Westminster at the Bellatti Tennis Complex. The first serve is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
